This means that we’ll be looking at the amount of players playing in each queue and what way they decide to queue up (solo, duo, trio etc) to understand any changes in queue times and the quality of matchmaking.

Kurado Senior Member The matchmaking system will balance duo queue players with higher MMR solo queue players in ranked to account for communication advantage. In most games it seems pretty balanced although in some cases this is different. By duo queueing with a partner with a big MMR difference e. The higher rated player can play a high risk high reward snowball champ, and the lower rated player can play a low risk low reward champ.
The contribution to the game from the higher rated player becomes very high proportionally but the matchmaking does not take this into account enough. The player on the snowball champ is often mechanically good enough to get itself in many tricky situations with positive outcome and snowball the game for the whole team from there. When I find myself matched with or against these type of duos, there is often little I can do about the outcome.
I dont consider myself as good as the level they play at, but it just makes it nearly impossible to have a challenging game. The matchmaking system seems to be based on both summoners having equal responsibility yet different skill level.
Overwatch’s new LFG system is good, but not good enough
We have also introduced a new collation system that will be used with Dusk Road packs and other packs going forward to help increase diversity among commons. These changes allow for better use of the signals from the first pack of The Dusk Road, in predicting what might show up in the second pack of The Dusk Road. Players will now also have more control over the player passing to them for Omens of the Past and The Empty Throne. These changes aim to slightly reduce how easy this is and hopefully open up diversity of draft strategies.

It looks like League of Legends is getting Solo queues back after it was discontinued at the start of the competitive season. According to a recent announcement, Riot is planning to replace the game’s dynamic queue system with the Solo and Duo queues and Dynamic queues are going to .
However not everybody has friends that play league of legends, why punish those who cannot team up? The game it self is already challeging enough without having to deal with premades while you play with 4 people you do not know. The other team has much better coordination, better champion select, tactics and above all communication. I on the otherhand have to type everything wich distracts me from actually playing the game, use pings that people respond to much slower then a voice command and above all have to make the best out of our team composition wich I can almost never have any influence on.
This is obviously because on my end people pick what they wanna play not thinking about the effectives of the whole. I would think it is only fair that if people team up they can only play against others that team up even though it is only 2 on each team that have done so. This evens the odds of winning instead of having to play against 5 people that totally destroy you while you do your best but are always just a little to late to actually do anything.
Let people who queue in alone play against the same kind of people, so no one has an advantage above others execpt for their skills on the battlefield. I might be in the minority here but I am still one of the many who love playing your game but gets the fun taken out of it by something I have no influence on, apart from forcing myself to look for friends who also play the game. And if that is your objective I am afraid that the game is lost for me.

Casual Play[ edit edit source ] Casual Play mode matchmaking includes a new player pool. Players are initially placed in a separate pool, allowing them to play exclusively against other new players. After a certain period, players are introduced into the main matchmaking pool. Pairings are therefore affected not only by each player’s rating or rank, but by which other players are currently awaiting matchmaking.
For example, different times of day often attract different types of players, with certain times typically featuring a slightly more competitive pool of players.
LFG will allow players to assemble their teams before queuing for quick play, competitive, and arcade game modes. Too often, maps are seemingly decided in the loading screen by the relative ranks or hero pools of players united by the matchmaking algorithm, but now, players can lock in roles prior to queuing. On the PTR, individuals join teams on a first-come, first-serve basis without approval from group leaders. Party leaders can restrict how many of each role they have on their team; require that players have a certain number of endorsements; and, indicate that they prefer everyone to have a microphone, but that is about it.
The aforementioned endorsements serve as the only easily accessible, potentially tangible screening process available to group leaders, but the legitimacy of endorsements has yet to be proven. Within a couple of months, endorsements could very well be disregarded by much of the playerbase if they are found to be unreliable, unsubstantial, or too easily acquired.

Players who have not done part I can simply head to Manaan on their starship and head to the flashpoint or queue for it from the group finder. Keep in mind that this is a level 55 flashpoint. Below are all the cutscenes from this second part of Forged Alliance spoilers Manaan is a tactical flashpoint and do not require the group having dedicated tanks or healers although having a healer can make certain fights slightly easier.
New to this tactical flashpoint is the addition of Unrefined Kolto spread evenly throughout the flashpoint to provide healing for your group while fighting trash mobs. These canisters only heal those within the explosion radius so group members need to gather around the canister to receive maximum healing. The loot from Manaan is nothing worth talking about.
The only thing people really care about are the Manaan Research Data which is required to purchase two swords, a mount and a new armor set. Manaan Research Data seems have a chance to drop from all bosses. This means your group can get up to 3 Manaan Research Data per run. A great way I found to farm the Manaan Research Data is to simply kill the first boss and then reset the instance swap group leader if it tells you that you reset the instance too recently. The flashpoint can be done with two players if they have geared companions.
Something we noticed could be just a coincidence is that Manaan Research Data seems to drop more frequently off the first boss with more actual players in the group. Having 3 players in the group seems to grant more Research Data drops than having just 2.
